Function
With ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) or some of specially designed PC software, ENCs enable you to:
  • Perform Precise and Continuous Route Monitoring;
  • Be Alerted to Potential Dangers on your Course;
  • Route Planning, Route Recording Functions;
  • Variety of Display Selections to Choose from Automatic Loading of ENCs, Scale-Up/Down Function, North-Up or Course-Up Display; and
  • Display RADAR and ARPA Images with Chart Information.

System Requirement

ECDIS

Before entering contract for use of ENCs, you have to arrange computer-based system or software. ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) is most popular system which is designed in conformity with IMO standard A.817(19) to fit for use on ship bridge. There are many other systems or softwares which can be used for ENCs, conforming with IHO S-57 and S-63 standards.
