- Function
- With ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) or some of specially designed PC software, ENCs enable you to:
- Perform Precise and Continuous Route Monitoring;
- Be Alerted to Potential Dangers on your Course;
- Route Planning, Route Recording Functions;
- Variety of Display Selections to Choose from Automatic Loading of ENCs, Scale-Up/Down Function, North-Up or Course-Up Display; and
- Display RADAR and ARPA Images with Chart Information.
Requirement
Before entering contract with us to use ENCs, you have to prepare computer-based information system such as Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) in conformity with IMO standard A.817(19) or specially designed software such as ENC viewer in conformity with IHO S-57 standard and IHO S-63 standard for the use on PCs or other system.
Media
ENCs are the chart information stored on CD-ROMs, compiled and produced in conformity with IHO Standard S-57, and encrypted in conformity with IHO Standard S-63.

Chart contains base data of the chart
Electronic Notice to Mariners
contains updates for the base data
CELL-PERMIT
contains keys to decrypt the encrypted base data or encrypted update data

You can update your ENCs with weekly Electronic Notices to Mariners which can be downloaded freely from our website "ENC Support", or if you want it on a CD-ROM media, we can offer you JPY660/CD(including tax, postage excluded).
